• Gloria just appeared at Revolution in Los Angeles for the Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation in a tribute to Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds. She earned a standing ovation from the audience and mega-producer David Foster for her interpretation and delivery of How Can I Not Love You from the movie Anna and The King.

• She hosted the Young Musicians Foundation Awards at the Beverly Hilton and received a standing ovation from the Hollywood industry crowd for her performance of The Prayer.
  
  
• The Prayer, recorded with her son, Grammy Award-winner Robin Thicke is featured on her newest CD, A Playlist. In a bit of synchronicity, guitar virtuoso Gil Parris invited Gloria to record Robin’s #1 R&B hit Lost Without You just days after the release of A Playlist. The cut will be on Gil’s next CD. • Gloria will present a keynote address, Diabetes Doesn’t Have To Be A Soap Opera, for healthcare professionals at Sweet Success: Facing Change and Challenge Conference, November 8th, in Anaheim, CA.
  
  
• Gloria recently premiered a musical motivation performance piece. Using biographical anecdotes and original music, Yes, And! How I Learned To Play Along With Life offers lessons from on-stage performance fueled by insights of improvisational theatre. A companion book is in the works.
  
  
• She was the host and special guest of an interactive seminar, Health in Beauty, that launched the Shankara East-West Skin Care Line.
  
  
• Be on the lookout for Gloria version of Peggy Lee’s fire-starter Fever on the next Jimmy Sommers album, Time Stands Still, being released in November 2008.
